'Frunzenskaya' is a station of Sokonicheskaya Line in Moscow Subway system situated between stations 'Park Kultury' and 'Sportivnaya'. The station has been founded on May 1, 1957 as a part of the stage from 'Park Kultury' to 'Sportivnaya' and was named according to the closeness of the quay of the same name which was named for M. V. Frunze. The station has one ground-based vestibule which is now built in the building of Moscow Palace of Youth. From the vestibule you can exit to Komsomolsky Prospekt (rus. Комсомольский Проспект, eng. Komsomol Avenue) and Pereulok Holzunova (rus. переулок Хользунова, eng. Holzunov Lane). Number of retiring passengers per day is 48,6 thousand, number of entering passengers per day is 46,2 thousand. 'Frunzenskaya' is a pylon trivault deep station (the depth is 42 meters). The pylons are faced with white marble on their tops and with red marble on their bottoms and decorated with openwork metal shields with images of a five-pointed star. The floor is faced with red and black marble. The track walls are faced with cream (in their tops) and black (in their bottoms) ceramic tile. The central hall of the station and the side halls are illuminated with lines with massive chandeliers. Near the station front wall, which is faced with red marble, there is a bust of M. V. Frunze.
