'Park Kultury' is a station of Sokonicheskaya Line in Moscow Subway system situated between stations 'Kropotkinskaya' and 'Frunzenskaya'. The station has been founded on May 15, 1935 as a part of the first district of Moscow subway system from 'Sokolniki' to 'Park Kultury' with a branch from 'Ohotnii Ryad' to 'Smolenskaya' and has been named according to the closeness of Gorky Central Park of Culture and Leisure. The station has a transfer to the same-called station of Koltsevaya Line through the combined ground-based vestibule, from which you can also exit to Komsomolsky Prospekt (rus. Комсомольский Проспект, eng. Komsomol Avenue) and to Zubovsky Bulvar (rus. Зубовский Бульвар, eng. Zubov Boulevard). The second ground-based vestibule, which is decorated with a mosaic panel of Maxim Gorky, is situated on Ulitsa Ostojenka (rus. Улица Остоженка, eng. Ostojenka Street). Number of retiring passengers per day is 10,0 thousand, number of entering passengers per day is 9,3 thousand. 'Park Kultury' is a column trispan shallow station (the depth is 10,5 meters). On the station there are two lines of columns. Number of columns in each line is 23, the step between the neighboring columns of the line is seven meters. The columns, square in their section, are faced with yellow-brown marble-like limestone. The floor is faced with black granite (many years ago the station floor had the asphalt covering). The track walls are faced with white ceramic slab. Also in the station facing and decoration white and gray marble and red tiles are used.
